It is the second permanent exhibition in the Historical Museum. It reflects the local history of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries with the characteristic revival processes. It combines texts, photographs and old engravings with exhibits from the Renaissance Department and interesting artifacts from the Ethnography Department. One can see the rare iron type, vessels, jewelry, old printed books, a collection of guns, Turkish yatagans and Russian sabers. It introduces visitors to prominent ecclesiastical, educational and revolutionary figures. It ends with a presentation of the battles for the liberation of Oryahovo from Ottoman rule and the Romanian soldiers who died on the battlefield.
